Gandaki Province Assembly Member Bimala Gauchan Passes Away

Myagdi: Gandaki Province Assembly member Bimala Gauchan has passed away at the age of 63. She succumbed to dengue while receiving treatment at Grande Hospital in Kathmandu on Wednesday night, confirmed Resham Bahadur Baniya, former President of Nepali Congress (NC) Myagdi and Constituent Assembly member.
Gauchan was elected to the Gandaki Province Assembly through the proportional electoral system as a representative of the Nepali Congress.
Family sources have stated that her body is currently being kept at Grande Hospital. The final rites will be performed after the arrival of her son, who is traveling from the United States.
Her demise has been widely mourned, marking a significant loss for the political community in the Gandaki Province.
